Bunker

Bunker - A 3D asset production project.

During my time at UWS, one of the optional classes I could take to make up the necessary points to pass year 3 was 3D Asset Production. This class involved creating teams of 4-5 with other students, a majority of whom were from the animation course.

We were initially given a simple task, each of the team were to create a fire extinguisher, one of each type. These models were intended to be included in a larger project.

After we had finished our fire extinguishers, we were then given the brief to a larger project, we were given an almost empty Maya project file with some basic outlines. We were tasked with creating a bunker, everything else was down to us from theme of the scene to assets we wanted to include and where everything would be placed.

As environment art was my focus, once the research was done and assets to create were chosen, I volunteered to block out the scene to give the other members of my team a better reference for the asset we were all to create.

Assets were created by myself and the 4 members of my team, I then got to work building the final scene, creating a scene which we are all very proud of. 

These are a range of assets I created along with the final renders of the bunker. I was very lucky to have been part of a team with very talended people who were skilled in modelling, texturing and lighting in Maya, a software I had no experience with until starting that class.
